Arcade Kingdom

Jolþic: Jónarltíhlanilðí /jouːnarlthiːl̥anɪlðiː/
Þamtic: Kateirzilaneilþe /khaːtheiːrzɪlaneiːlθɛ/

Arcade Kingdom is a chain of entertainment centers created by the þamto-jolþic corporation Laræn-Taþvún Group, which focuses mostly on arcade games either developed or published by it. While not the only one of its kind, it remains the most popular in Borgalor even as arcade gaming has declined in favour of home consoles, particularly in Jolþ, New Þamta, Þamta, Æjala and to lesser extent Þagralía. The largest one of these arcades is located in Tamþías, capital of Þamta.
The chain's popularity in Númra has been more limited due to competition from the local Fun&Games Co..
While the exact layout varies, the interior design is always an idealized mixture of traditional þjaric and þamtan art and architecture, complete with colourful artwork on the walls and cabinets imitating illuminated manuscripts, often featuring mascots and scenes from the more popular games found in the Arcade Kingdom. The paintings are not only for decoration, but give a better idea of what these games are meant to look like due to graphical limitations and the fact that the screens can only display images in sepia tone.

Notable games

  • Curse of the Obsidian King: Bullet hell game inspired by myths and legends set during the ancient Zmó Empire.
  • Rune Fist: 2D fighting game set in the near future, where players control automatons that often use attacks and finishing moves that would be considered too brutal if the characters were people.
  • Treasure Lake: 2D action game featuring a diver searching for treasures at the bottom of a lake while avoiding enemies ranging from fish, otters and vicious waterfowl to rival treasure hunters, all before the timer runs out.

  • Other popular games includes various 2D platformers and horse racing games, the latter which sometimes feature special arcades equipped with moving saddle-like seats for added immersion.
