Erens
Erenic: Erenóz /ɛːrɛnouːz/
Þamtic: Derðjó /tɛːrðjouː/
The erens1 are one of the main jútrilían elven ethnic group that inhabits western Jælondis, along with the Þamtans by the Niþvú Sea to the west. Most of the population is found in the country of Erenúm, one of the few in Jútrilía that still remains after the horrible Fell Wars decades ago, during which much of southwestern Jælondis2 was left in ruins and infested with undead beings, the latter which the erens have fought hard to prevent them spreading to the rest of the world.
Eren diaspora is mostly found in the Southlands, particularly the countries of Fjún and Númra, and to lesser extent Agg-Ahlún in western Örkraz.
Most dishes come in the form of soups or stews and always accompanied with a side dish of some sort.
Other dendrolatrist faiths and polytheistic traditions are practiced by some erens as well, especially in Örkraz.

Culture
Cuisine
Traditional eren cuisine is quite similar to that of other hinterland jútrilían elven cultures, being based on millet bread, beef, dairy products, vegetables, chestnuts, sweet and sour cherries, the lattermost which have religious significance and feature heavily in various rites and festivals. More conservative erens consider sweet cherries to be profane due to their association with nomadic human raiders in the past, while other groups -particularly in the Southlands- allow the use of those cherries as substitute for minor ceremonies. Most dishes come in the form of soups or stews and always accompanied with a side dish of some sort.
Religion
As in many elven cultures, most religious practices observed by the erens are based around the triad of arctolatry, dendrolatry and pyrolatry, with particular emphasis on the former two, best exemplified by the Order of the Cherry Tree, a monastic order whose members dedicate their lives to protecting the sacred groves and associated shrines and lead the ceremonies therein. They learn martial arts similar to those practiced in certain branches of arctolatry, as well as smithing to make their own weapons and arms out of Ilríþjúron, a pale pinkish metal-like material made from Ilrine ore.Other dendrolatrist faiths and polytheistic traditions are practiced by some erens as well, especially in Örkraz.
