Abslyn
Abslyn is a town in the The Land of Initia that comes close to the border with The Federation of Prista. This town is primarily overseen by it's nobles and upper-class, who run the main business exports of textiles and beauty products, as well as control the ports.
Demographics
Abslyn is a majority human and halfling settlement, with a decent half-human population as well, in half-dwarves, half-elves, and half-orcs. Most of the citizenry here live comfortably, with a fairly large middle-class. Most people work for the upper-class in textile production, beauty products, and large scale crafting. Additionally, this town is known for being close to the Pristian border, and has a mix of that culture as well, with their reliance on the noble-class, as well as the inn business for travel.
Government
Abslyn is primarily run by the nobles that inhabit it. This town is run by the "Sovereign's Chosen," known as the Count or Countess. The town taxes all product sold within their walls, as well as any incoming goods on ships or caravans.
Defences
Abslyn hosts the Initian Guard, as well as the inner part of the town being protected by a wall, with most of the population living within it. It's coastal position also lends itself to a sense of defense.
Industry & Trade
This town runs on the production of textiles and beauty products, as well as it's bustling inn business from the near constant trade that meets it's borders, whether from land or sea.
Infrastructure
Along the coast Abslyn has a small shipyard, along with a large lighthouse that shines bright into the Initian Bay.
Tourism
The Countess' Estate - The Countess or Count's estate changes depending on who is chosen, with the current Countess having the Marble Estate. The Marble Estate is an old marble and stone building made to host large parties.
Architecture
Abslyn is a fairly developed town, as such most of the buildings are made of the same white stone that is used in Lancia. However, the roofs of Abslyn don't have the distinct red of Lancia, and instead are quite varied. Many buildings here are built upwards, as to not need to expand the walls, so most of them have 3 or more floors. Many buildings are built with the shorter statured people in mind meaning things like: staircases are often parted, with smaller steps on one side; doors are all two-parted, with an opening bottom piece; all counters have a step up to meet the tops; and all establishments have a mix of sizes of chairs, table settings, apparel, and general supplies.
Geography
Abslyn sits on a relatively flat coast, giving it access to the ocean as well as a nearby fresh water river.
Climate
Abslyn exists in a temperate landscape, but tends to be quite cold during the winter. In constrast to the rest of Initia, this town tends to be colder due to the proximity to the Federation of Prista.
