The Didact, The Invincible Commandant
Minor god of Battle, Honor, Duty, Valor, and Comradeship
Hear me, Gods and Demigods! Atlas, The Divine Father, has awoken and seen your souls - and the stains that haunt them. He has heard the cries of the mortals destroyed and cast aside in the name of your divine ambitions and cosmic squabbles, and casts judgement upon you all; You are no longer worthy of the halls you once called home! According to the cries he has answered, the cries which woke him from an endless dreaming death, you will be cast out and your powers sealed! You will walk amongst those you have taken for granted, that you might come to understand their plight - or perish at their hand. I alone, envoy of his will, remain as guardian to those realms beyond here atop Mount Kharrelyth, where the Astral Stair has been anchored. You shall all be made to understand, or your numbers quelled until only a handful remain - he cares not which. Return here before you have found this understanding, and I will destroy you where you stand. You have been warned.Titles: The Warfather, The Stonefather, Patron Saint of the Stone-Warped, The Invincible Commandant, Shepherd of the War Dead, Protector of the Materia Sphere, The Spider-Eater, The Insanity-Breaker, Ruthger's Bane Favored Weapon: Glaive Alignment: Lawful Good Church Moniker: Church of the Commandant Obedience: Inscribe the names of your most valued comrades, friends, and those you hold dear or want to see protected upon a sheet of parchment and affix it to a kiteshield. Hang the Kiteshield somewhere nearby within line of sight and spend an hour practicing your fighting techniques, styles, and/or forms while swearing a vow to never let evil see victory as long as you yet draw breath, no matter the form evil may take or what trials you must endure to see it expunged and destroyed. Once the hour is up, retrieve the parchment you wrote upon and write a short musing of a recent evil you encountered or learned of, and a short musing of a recent good you encountered or saw done in the world. Once done, offer the parchment to the Didact with a solemn prayer. Effect: All attacks you make count as being both Lawful and Good for the purposes of overcoming damage reduction. You become capable of casting Geas/Quest on willing creatures once per day, and can as an immediate action once per combat attempt to smite a creature blessed with a shard of divine power - if the target possesses mythic ranks, they take an additional 2d10 points of damage per rank they possess that bypasses all damage reduction and resistances and one of their mythic abilities(Chosen at random) is disabled for 1 minute. If they possess no such ranks, you are staggered for a round with no save.

Tenets of Faith
For King and Country. Obey the laws of the land and the authorities which guide them.
Travel the high road. Engage not in deception, speak no knowing lies, and never bring shame upon a woman's honor. The tools of the enemy shall not be used to defeat them.
With Valor and Courage. Never refuse a challenge from an equal, never turn your back upon a foe, and live honorably in the pursuit of glory greatest. Never leave a task unfinished.
Become a true hero. Aid those in need in whatever ways you can and never turn your back on a comrade. A true hero is marked by his heart, not his skill at arms - not every battle is one of blades.
Live a life of burden. Never walk the easy path, and embrace the burdens of life whether they be vows, oaths, codes, duties, other creatures, or more - the more burdens you accept, the more your spirit shall be purified.
Justice, never foolishness. Strive to bring kindness and salvation to all those with the courage to accept it - yet do not allow your heart to waver when the grisly work must be done. Others must not suffer for the weakness of your heart.

The Last Great General
The Didact's history is an ancient and muddled thing, but rumors persist in the dark depths of the world that once upon a time, he was the most decorated and distinguished general in the ancient empire of High Humanity. Few stories remain that speak of his victories or his name, but those that do speak of him as a progressive leader, and a tactical mastermind on the battlefield who was daring and gracious enough to accept even the normally outcast into his ranks: All that mattered to him was efficiency; one's form or color was irrelevant to him. He is spoken of as the last great star of High Humanity, and a bright and brilliant soul in an otherwise dark time for the world. He was said to have led an entire legion of the failed Stone-Warped, turned them into a spectatular and elite fighting force, and was so outstandingly dedicated and talented that when the his beloved empire fell despite his prodigious talents, he chose to forgo his eternal reward in the great beyond for a life of eternal servitude in the defense of all things, fighting against the forces that would seek to unravel reality. Making a deal with the God of Death himself, the legendary commander strode into legend and became a folk hero and eventual god to those he left behind, even eons after his vanishing into the outer realms, his name and titles are still synonymous with hope, and strike fear into the hearts of the vile. Though he spent much of his divine existence warring against the forces of the Outer Sphere, tirelessly fighting against the forces that would seek to unmake the cosmos and the material plane, The Didact has taken on a new role with the reawakening of Atlas, The Ineffable - having been chosen as the sole deity in all of creation virtuous enough to retain their powers, the Didact has been charged with guarding the sole remaining connection between the Inner and Outer Planes atop Mount Kharrelyth and stands as an imposing, almost insurmountable obstacle for any vengeful gods who seek to reclaim their power before the time is right.
"It has been some time, Nicodema. I am glad to see you well." "Ah, my errant brother...come to gloat at your sister's folly, like our siblings before you?" "No." "Then why are you here? I have things to do, now that we've been sealed - my plans are in ruins." "..." "This isn't like you, brother. You're unusually stoic...what has you concerned? Your new duty to the reawakened one?" "...yes, I suppose. You aren't...concerned?" "Not particularly. I will do as I always have, brother. Victory at any cost, you know this - whether or not a punishment hangs over my head bothers me little." "The day may come when I have to witness you die, sister. Khaz and Lumi are worried about you - yet lack the strength to speak their minds. And...I as well, I suppose. So...allow me this one gesture, before I leave." "...you know I dislike hugs." "I am aware. Of many things, lately...and now I can do little but watch. Be well, sister. Know that you are loved - and that I do not judge you for your actions. I cannot say I would not have done the same."
