Lance Shepard, the sitting High Commander of the UEA. A former Fleet Admiral in the Imperial Navy, Shepard had risen to his position as the chosen successor to the Emperor before him. Having Served as High Commander for nearly two decades, Shepard inherited the changing Empire at one of it's most pivotal times.

Early Life
Born on Capricorn to a career military family, Shepard was raised to be an officer. His Mother a sitting Admiral in the Naval High Command and his father Colonel with the Legion. Lance was born into the military elite, and as such from an early age he received training with a focus on commanding others. As a child he often found himself in positions of social importance among his peers, leading groups of friends at first then taking actual positions as he grew older. By the time he was old enough to join the military academy on Capricorn, he was already an accomplished marksman, and martial artist. His exceptional skills and intelligence put him on the fast track into the Naval Officers Academy, where he would build a name for himself as one of the most capable young officers ever trained. His proficiency in simulated battles, commanding single ships and small task groups proved to his superiors a chance should be taken on the man. Graduating from academy as a Commander tasked as the executive officer aboard the Hunter Class Destroyer CSF Port in the Storm the flagship of the Alexandrian Defense Fleet.
Relationships
History
Having met only during the Battle of Persephone, Reynolds made a particular impression on Shepard during the battle. Taking command of the scattered Imperial Forces during the Capital Offensive and saving the operation showed the promise Reynolds had as a leader. After the battle Shepard gave Reynolds a substantial promotion and requested he receive special training. Grooming him to take his place as High Commander, Shepard put every resource at Reynolds finger tips and gave him access to situations otherwise barred to him.
History
Having served as the Personal Captain to the Emperor for many years, Wolf and Shepard have come to have a very close and direct relationship with one another. Bordering on friendship, their working relationship has always been one of extreme respect, and faithful service to one another.

Often relying on one an other in high stress situations, Kex had continued to impress Shepard as he climbed the ranks of the Honorguard. Although a respectful relationship tensions in recent years had began to show.
