Kalashtar

Creation

Created by the gods Lonysus, God of Light and Vesyna, Goddess of Darkness, the Kalashtar are a product of the union of the spirits of the dream realm, that Lonysus and Vesyna primarily reside in, and a fight over humanity between Lonysus and Vesyna. While the two argued over light and dark, Lonysus struck the world of Deabros with a blinding white light that allowed the spirits of the dream realm to enter into the new world with physical bodies. Angry at what Lonysus had done, Vesyna then struck the world with a torrent of nightmare spirits which also entered into the land. Thus Kalashtar were created, along with the subraces of the Lenosites and the Vesynites.

The Kalashtar People

The Kalashtar are found only in open society and in the lands of the Exiles. One would likely not find one among the Vesynites or Lenosites, unless you found them as a prisoner of war. The Kalashtar hold no violent ill will toward the Vesynites and Lenosites, and instead choose to focus on their way forward. Hostilities are present from the other direction, however. The Kalashtar are currently enjoying a peaceful period due to the hostilities between the Vesynites and Lenosites being a higher priority for those people.
