Lenosite

The Lenosites are a subset of the Kalashtar race. Not as advanced as the Kalashtars, the Lenosites are focused on their belief in the god Lonysus, God of Light. Lenosites believe in the ideals of Lonysus and light, working towards the protection of others and the preservation of life, that only light is needed in the world, and that it is their duty to eradicate darkness and the followers of darkness.  

Demonym

Calling themselves the Lenosites, this group of people is known by many different names to the rest of the world.
  • The Vesynites and sometimes the exiles refer to the Lenosites as "The Dreamers"
  • The rest of the world and other societies refer to the Lenosites as "Light Folk"

Crusaders

The Lenosites have been waging crusades against the Vesynites for many years now and it is not believed these crusades will stop anytime soon.

Kalashtar sleep, but they don’t connect to the plane of dreams as other creatures do. Instead, their minds draw from the memories of their otherworldly spirit while they sleep. As such, Kalashtar are immune to spells and other magical effects that require them to dream, like dream, but not to spells and other magical effects that put them to sleep, like sleep.


Genetics and Reproduction

Adult kalashtar have an average fertility rate. Without attempts to prevent conception, kalashtar are likely to reproduce from sexual relations. Additionally, the kalashtar people have a low to low-moderate chance for multiple births. An adult kalashtar is able to conceive a child from 17 to 120 years.

Facial characteristics

Lenosites tend to have very light and bright colored eyes. The most common colors seen are green and blue. They also have very light colored hair with the most typical colors being blondes, whites, and grays.

Kalashtar can speak telepathically to any creature they can see, provided the creature is within a number of feet of them equal to 10 times your level. Kalashtar don’t need to share a language with the creature for it to understand their telepathic utterances, but the creature must be able to understand at least one language.   When they’re using this trait to speak telepathically to a creature, they can use their action to give that creature the ability to speak telepathically with them for 1 hour or until they end this effect as an action. To use this ability, the creature must be able to see them and must be within this trait’s range. They can give this ability to only one creature at a time; giving it to a creature takes it away from another creature who has it.   Dual Mind

Common Taboos

  • Nightmares. Having nightmares is unavoidable. Speaking of them is improper and portrays an individual who accepts the fear offered by Vesyna.
  • Snakes, bears, spiders, ants, reptiles, bats, and ravens are all considered taboo creatures. Seeing them is a bad omen. One does not consort with such beasts. One does not eat such beasts.
  • Selfish acts. It is an extreme taboo of the Lenosites to treat so inward that one turns to criminality. Theft, murder, stealing from the temple are all exceptional taboos.
  • Purity of the Temple. One shall be clean and free of injuries when entering the Temple of Lonysus. To do so filthy or injured is considered an affront of the God of Dreams.
