The Volunteers uncovered that a terrible monstrosity had been deceiving Eladrin for ages, convincing them that a sacred ceremony of theirs was how they would pass into the next life. Instead, the ceremony opened a portal to the creature's nest, where the creature would devour its victims. The Volunteers destroyed the monster.
