Markelle Thomas (a.k.a. Marz)

Main Character. Strategical Hot Head. Marz is a member of the core group of good survivors, despite joining the show in season 3. Marz is an original member at Stone Ridge. Early on in the apocalypse Marz encountered a Blotter when trying to save someone and by doing so he got caught up in the Blotter's blast radius and was knocked out giving him a very severe concussion. This concussion along with other injuries took a few months to fully recover from. When he made a full recovery Marz was eager to become a stronger fighter. By season 3 when the core group joins Stone Ridge Marz is just getting the hang of fighting the dead. Marz can be very hot headed and easy annoyed by people and the dead at times. He can easily be swayed by his emotions when making decisions, this is something he works on throughout the series. He can also be very strategical too when he isn't aggravated, since he isn't naturally a strong guy. Marz tends to not take risks on missions, only when needed. He likes to be involved on decision making for the group. Marz quickly became close with Cole when our group of survivors arrived at Stone Ridge because Cole took Marz under his wing to train him. Marz picked up on Cole's way of fighting the dead and it suits him well. Marz tends to side with Cole with most situations. Marz does not get along with Saron, he can't stand his lackeason 4 (Marz's second season in the show) of seriousness, Marz thinks Saron is a total screw up and he has valid reasons to feel this way. Marz has picked up the hobby of photography when his mom gifted him a camera on his 21st birthday. The camera has a lot of sentimental value for him and he holds onto it for a very long time. He uses the camera for memories and for missions for intel and other useful things.

• Skills

When Marz first appears in the show he is very inexperienced in fighting the dead but after some training by Cole he becomes a very capable fighter. Marz is a pretty good shot, especially with a high-powered rifle which is his weapon of choice. He equips a bayonet on his rifle for easy melee to shooting killing. Training under Cole Marz tends to only choose to fight the dead only when its necessary but when Marz is extremely irritated he can go on a rage driven killing spree. But For the most part Marz likes to do the more strategical thing, being an intelligent induvial, Marz takes strategizing very seriously. Marz likes when missions go according to plan but when things get messy which they tend to do Marz can get uneasy and irritated.

• Appearance

Marz is a light skin African American 21yr old man. Standing tall at 6ft3 with a skinny build. Marz has black dreadlock with red ends that are about eye length when he first appears on the show. His hair grows longer throughout the show and around season 5 his dreads grow to chin length.
