Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Masao had beige skin and stood at roughly 5'8". He was heavy set and had a wide build, making him appear much taller than he was. He wore glasses.
Sitting right next to her and listening with equal focus, was a guy of average height and a round, doughy build, with neat short-cropped black hair, ever so slightly longer on the top than it was on the sides. His skin was tawny, though his face was slightly blushed with rosacea around the cheeks and forehead. There were sparse bristles of facial hair, mainly underneath his nose, which a pair of round, thin-rimmed glasses roosted upon.
Body Features
Masao wasn't particularly fit, and had a heavy build. He wasn't particularly strong or dexterous, but he didn't really need to be. He had some stretch marks on his body, mostly on his biceps, thighs and lower torso, as well as multiple moles.

Early Life
Nishimura Masao was the only child to parents Makoto and Akemi. They moved to England after they got married, and after spending a few years in York they decided to settle down and have a child. Being their only child Masao was spoiled, and his parents treasured him and made sure he was getting the best start in life. He went to private schools and was ready to apply to prestigious colleges, however an incident when he was 16 with a knife-weilding robber forced him to use his powers in public. A few days later, when word got out about the boy who used powers in broad daylight, he was torn away from his family and placed in the Sanctuary for the Gifted Child. He met Jaguar here, and the two bonded quickly as he was able to help her calm down when she struggled to. He was a natural to helping her with emotional outbursts or sensory overloads, and the two started dating about two months after they first met.
Book 1: Prologue
Masao stepped forth, leaping into the air and crashing down to the floor in front of the team, hands splayed on the ground. A flash of light spread from the floor to the ceiling above, leaving behind a forcefield of iridescent white.Masao is the boyfriend of Jaguar and close friend of Phoenix Flare and Eclipse Solar. He's friendly to Psychic, and is shown to be a mediator within the group- whenever there's a spat between the girls, or Illusia tries to harrass them, Masao is the first to try and de-escalate the situation.
“Run!” He called out to them, the soldiers closing in quicker ahead. “I can hold them off, but not for long!”
“We aren’t leaving you, Masao!” Manvi shouted, grabbing his shoulder and trying to pull him back to them.
“You have to! We can’t take them! You have to go now before I drop this!”
Because of this penchant for diplomacy, Masao is the main recruiter when the Demigods decide they need strong empowered on their side to help fight off the soldiers. Masao spends time scouting out and secretly talking to different individuals, although despite his confident and level exterior, Jaguar senses his nervousness. He promises her that they'll get out and make the world a better place together.
During the breakout, the team is pursued by a large group of soldiers, and Masao realises they won't be able to escape if they aren't delayed. He sacrifices himself, using his powers for the first time in the book to set up a forcefield, buying the Demigods enough time to rush to the exit.

Morality & Philosophy
Masao didn't believe in violence- he thought that diplomacy could and should be used to solve all issues. He never condemned others for using violence, but he would try to prevent it wherever possible.
