In a time where such careers were not thought to be in the realm of women to study Lidnesy got her degree and starts looking for a team that will take her on.
They only hired Lindsey because Edward wouldn't leave without her. Now they just need to get their passports and sunscreen.
Bryan Edwards and Lindsey Booker were members of the team that helped discover this mysterious city and spend the next couple of years travelling between the site and the States. The city threw a lot of people's understanding of ancient Egypt and Greece for a loop have buildings similar to both cultures. Also, the rulers seem to be named after various Egyptian gods. The site was later closed to due to strange things happening around it and has been opened off and on for various reasons in recent decades.
While exploring a tomb Bryan Edwards and Lindsey Booker were able to discover the burial chamber the Pharaoh's Puzzle within. They also found a secret that changed their lives forever to the point that they have yet to tell the other members of thier family.
Edward Booker uses some the business skills that he required in college to open the shop.
The interest in the Palace of Ra had started to fade but the book did well in academic and causal circles for objectively saying what happened with sources and telling an interesting narrative as to what happened.

Stella comforts Todd as he goes through the loss of his parents.
Todd attends Midwood High School at Brooklyn College where he meets Richard Line, Bryan Edwards, and Martin Davis who all become friends.
This was quite a big day for everyone since Martin Davis had that day took a piece of the puzzle and threw it into the shrubbery. Todd Booker feeling distressed runs into a bully who was picking on Martin and tries to stop him. The beats both of them up as a result and askes to paid for "services rendered." Todd nervous about being beat up again decides to try and solve the Pharaoh's Puzzle. Martin in the meantime searches the school grounds for the lost piece and returns it to Edward Booker who answered the door for him. Edward put the piece quietly with the others. For some reason, the puzzle that had stumped Todd for years felt easier to solve and Todd was able to solve it that evening. Although he doesn't remember what happened after solving the puzzle.
Stella Wayland forms the group with Todd Booker and Richard Line by primarly hanging out at school and church.
Alice declares her membership one evening while the group was hanging out at Todd's house giving the group its name.
This first tournament of the story mostly serves as a tutorial in the book on how to play the game in a hopefully interesting way.
A global tournament where the best of the best and some new unknowns compete for the title of King of Casters.
