Jet-Black conceives the idea of the Manhattan Academy for the Gifted, aiming to provide young heroes with a better future. Inspired by the struggles of Honorary Avengers and other young heroes, Jet-Black envisions a campus that offers education and support during their crucial developmental years.  

2021: Construction and Expansion

Ground is broken for the academy, and Nichols Industries, led by Jet-Black, acquires additional land to expand the campus. Construction of the Main Building and other tertiary structures is completed. Queen Alexandra and Starflower undertake a massive terraforming project to shape the surrounding landscape.  

October 2021: Completion

The Manhattan Academy for the Gifted is officially completed, becoming a symbol of hope and opportunity for gifted individuals, providing a supportive and educational environment.  

2027: First Graduate Class and the Red Serpent Rises

The academy forms its first graduate class, but tragedy strikes as the Red Serpent Rises conflict emerges shortly after their graduation. Many graduates become casualties, leading to setbacks for the academy and the superhero community.  

2034: Gradual Recovery

The world undergoes a prolonged recovery from the devastation caused by the Red Serpent Rises. The academy experiences a delay in the emergence of another graduate class until 2034 due to the diminished superhero populace.  

Restructuring and Expansion

The academy faces the challenge of restructuring its faculty after the global devastation. Qualified individuals from around the world are recruited to fill expertise gaps. Other academies open globally, inspired by the Manhattan Academy for the Gifted. Nichols Industries remains influential, offering guidance and avoiding past tragedies.   Throughout its history, the Main Lobby serves as a gateway and central hub for the Manhattan Academy for the Gifted.
