Lord Protector
Qualifications
Before acquiring this title, the person has to either be part of the
Great Council or be an active member of the royal family.
Requirements
The Lord Protector is not a permanent spot on the council, only needed when the monarch is incapacitated or too young to rule the country.
Appointment
He is generally appointed by the
King or, sometimes, by the Lord Chancellor. Rarely, he is raised to this rank by the King's Consort.
Duties
The Lord Protector takes on the duties of a monarch during his tenure.

He takes on the responsibilities of a monarch during his tenure.
Grounds for Removal/Dismissal
He is dismissed by the King when he is not needed anymore, either because the monarch grew up or healed. If the King died, the newly appointed monarch dismisses the Lord Protector.
