Lake Galifar

Lake Galifar, named after the Kingdom of Galifar, is a large lake in western Khorvaire and acts as a natural border for the nations of Aundair, Breland, Droamm, and the Eldeen Reaches.
Several large cities have established themselves around the lake, using its fresh water, bountiful stocks of fish, and ease of transport, to support large populations. Notable cities include:

• Cree - Varna's smaller sister city known for its textiles and fine clothing
• Delethorn - The smallest city on the Lake and a known Elven enclave in the region
• Passage - Second largest city in Aundair and home to House Orien
• Varna - The second largest city in the Reaches and home to House Vadalis
• Xandrar - A small port city and only Brelish city situated on the lake

Geography

Lake Galifar is a large lake, spanning 430 miles east to west and 250 miles north to south. The Wynarn River feeds into it from the north and a small, unnamed river feeds into the Silver Lake to the south
The lake surface is generally calm, except for the wake of boats sailing up and down it and the lake is over a thousand feet deep at its center.

Fauna & Flora

Lake Galifar is teeming with many species of fish and crustaeans, with rumors of small whales or large manatees and sharks dwelling into the deeper regions of the lake. Lakeweed, kelp, and algae are all common along the lake floors.
