Clerical Order of Kishike
The Clerical Order of Kishike is a Meydran order with members all over Ekaia and its headquarters in the city of Prestir in Jeltir. As with many Meydran orders, members join as acolytes and may choose to train to be priests and later, perhaps, clerics. The leader of the order is the chief archcleric, known as the Kindler. This position is currently occupied by Enkavma Lashing.
Within the order are several sects, all of which have some level of representation in the temple in Prestir, and most of which are devoted to specific aspects of Kishike or themes within his ideologies.
Public Agenda
The order places great emphasis on finding personal joys in life and goals beyond mere survival. Its clerics are considered some of the most eclectic in the world, promoting interest in art, literature, sciences, and practically every other area of study, in addition to upholding the vital importance of strong interpersonal relationships. Clerics of Kishike are often scientists, historians, artists, or experts in a wide array of other fields, but are also commonly jacks-of-all-trades, or simply social workers. The central conceit and belief of the order is one of discovering one's individual passion, or passions, acknowledging them as gifts and signs from Evendur, and following them. Fire is used as the foremost symbol of such passions, as fire itself is said to have been born out of Kishike's excitement for the world.
At times the order has been criticized for being too chaotic as a result of spreading itself too thin to accommodate for the enormous variety of interests of not only its priests but its laypeople.
History
The earliest evidence of the order has been found in ancient dwarven ruins dating back to the first millennium of the Era of Cloud. The oldest still-standing Kishikean temple stands in ruins near the city of Naseen in Vundkrag. The order, however, was not organized until late in the Era of Cloud, when its center was established in what is now the Bhrennish region of Haruhe. Upon the completion of the great temple in what is now Prestir, it was declared as the new center of the order, and still is.
