Festival of Light

The Festival of Light is an important international festival that generally runs from the 16th to the 23rd of December and commemorates the final victory of the surface over the nightbringer forces of Mavislak the Blood-eyed at the end of the Eventide and the unveiling of the stars by the Lady Miranelle in the final hours of the Battle of Geldereth.
The festival was first announced as a Jeltiri holiday by King Talesan Fairfell, proprietor of the Light Brigade, in early December of 1001, but was quick to expand, geographically and chronologically. It soon became a weeklong ordeal comprising feasts, parades, religious ceremonies, plays, tournaments, and more. The most famous locales for the festival are Hemejdd and Larnwick in Jeltir, and Héletal in Thessélias.
