The Light Brigade

The Light Brigade was an adventuring party that formed in late EL 999 and was responsible for the destruction of Mavislak the Blood-eyed and the subsequent end of the Eventide the following December. At their beginning, they were comprised of Wivvyrholdalphiax Adrex, Æshir Þorlássón, and Caledaya Alvishar. Over the course of a year, their composition changed several times, comprising at different points Pellen Overvale, Enna Liadon, and First of the Storm Clan. They have also been affiliated with several other adventurers, including Silaqui Serpenthelm, Zachár Flame-tongue, and Strimien Half-light.
The party first became known after their escape from the Underdark, where they had been taken in a trap devised by Strimien. They escaped execution and spent several weeks journeying through the Lowerdark before finally teleporting out of the city of Turaz-Gul to Saldim, Jeltir. From there they traveled to Hemejdd to alert King Talesan Fairfell of the intelligence they had gleaned from the base whence they'd escaped. This was when they first became known by name.
The Brigade worked closely with King Talesan, who financed many of their exploits, for most of EL 1000. These exploits were primarily focused on the recovery of the three artifacts sought by the nightbringers, and they did successfully recover the Tether of Kaeli from the Tors and the Eternal Flame of Kishike from the Elemental Plane of Water before the end of the year. On the winter solstice, they fought in the Battle of Geldereth against the encroaching nightbringers and were responsible for the final victory achieved by the surface world that day.
