The Great Tree of Lumindariel
Lumindariel, The Apple Tree of Immortal Life. Born from one of the Seeds created from the heart of Vytol, the Oraedar of Life itself. Grown in anticepation of the Elves. The Folk of the Dream of Alfan Dreamstrider.
In the tales of the Elves. It was said to have ivory white bark, golden leaves, and Silver Apples.
The trees apples bestowed Immortality to them that ate them. An Immortality that would liberate its receptor from Sickness, Old Age, and weariness.
The Elves to eat of its apples became the Sun Elves and Night Elves. The Elves who did not eat of its apples became the Wood Elves and Sea Elves. Their refusal of the trees gift led to the First Schism of the Elves. An event that would divide the Elves into four tribes. Them of the Sun who dwelt in the high places of the world. Such as mountain peaks and high cliffs. Them of the Night who disliked the Sun and fled to underground caves and caverns. Creating cities of stark architecture. Them of the Wood who dwelt in forests and the wild places of the world. Loving the land and living by its gifts. And Them of the Sea. Who first lived on the shores and on steep fjords. And would later become known as Merfolk to the sea fairers of the Races of Men. But this disagreement would lead to The Last Schism of the Elves. A terrifying clash between the Zealous Sun Elves, and the Atheist Night Elves.
The trees fate is debated over. It is assumed from the ending of the Tale of the Last Schism of the Elves, that the Oraedar of Creation, Yurion, had absconded with all Three Great Apple Trees. Pulling them by the root and fleeing into depths so deep and so dark that none of Elder Race or New Comer Race would venture. But the validity of this, of course, is unknowable.

Purpose / Function
A gift from Vytol to the Elves. Intended to give them long life to experience the world and bring about new wonders into it.
Alterations
The tree is said to have been pulled up from the root and hidden away in the depths of the world by Yurion in spiteful hatred of the Sun and Night Elves who had abused the Gifts of the Trees of his sister, Vytol.
