Beren-Zali
The wild territory known as Beren-Zali was first colonised by hominids by an amalgam of Telehetti and Semud settlers in the very early days of the Semudan "Time of Warlords" in -280 DR. An incredibly successful civilisation arose, which gave its name to the area for the next 1,750 years - the Beren-Zali Kingdom. At its peak between -200 DR and -50 DR, this kingdom controlled large portions of the lands north of the Jin Rainforests and south of the Erensari, before succumbing to a bloody civil war spanning 100 years that saw arcane and mundane destruction, still leave visible scars centuries later.
Since the first Beren-Zali Kingdom, this area has seen rapid population increases and decreases, many claimants exercising and vying for control, countless migrations, invasions and civilisation collapse.
The Semudan Empire last exercised nominal control over Beren-Zali during the peak of the Emerald Empire of Gaoro (1080 - 1200 DR).
An atavistic holy order, with links to the The Revelation has taken control of the major traditional trade routes, including southern arm of the Royal Python River. Calling itself the True Light Row, this order is rapidly growing as a local power and arming itself in preparation for war with Acron, High Kingdom of, to fully exercise control over is claimed territory and in preparation for the end of days.
