The Boroughs of Din'Lux
The Boroughs of Din'Lux
The city of Din'Lux is divided into four different boroughs—the Coping, the Nests, the Stumps, and the Horseshoe—which are each subdivided into different districts.
The Coping
At the top of the city, overlooking the Great Sea, is the Coping. The Coping is the center of city government and also the home of the wealthy and powerful of the city. Many of the homes in this area are manors passed down through old and wealthy elven families.
The central feature of the Coping—and the entire skyline of Din'Lux—is the Great Lighthouse. The Temple of Ziva and City Hall are also important landmarks here. Despite these popular sites, the City Guard discourages loitering and tourism in these areas.

The Nests
The nests is the central hub of the city. This area is a mix of upper-middle and middle class residents. While the majority of those who live here are elven, the neighborhoods in the Nests are far more diverse than in the Coping. A number of orcs reside here, as do some humans and even several dwarves.
The most popular spot in the Nests by far is Glory Plaza, which has a vibrant nightlife with a number of shops and taverns open all night. Peoples of all sorts can be seen letting loose here and many see it as the perfect place to have a drink and forget one's worries.

The Stumps
The Stumps—the first borough found within the city gates—has the highest population of all Din'Lux boroughs. The poorest of the city can be found here—living in shacks and even tents—in the district known as the Tumbles. Many workers live in the Stumps—from fishermen to woodworkers to blacksmiths—and a large number of shops can be found here as well.
The Seekers' Guild and the Library of Light are highlights of this area, as are the many craftsmen workshops selling their wares.

The Horseshoe
When the Starless Nights returned, Din'Lux allowed in a great number of refugees who no longer had any home to go back to. Sigra the Sickly, a dwarven leader of the Dwar Fell armies and member of the new City Council, negotiated on behalf of these refugees to clear off a rocky island south of the city for the construction of a new borough.
This borough became known as the Horseshoe, so-called due to the curved shape of the island. What was once an unusable rock emerging from the Great Sea was transformed into a cramped and busy neighborhood filled with homes and businesses. The highlight of the island, though, is the guildhouse of the Scholars' Circle, a guild of scientists and researchers originally founded in the kingdom of Dwar Fell.
