Dolobeiia
The territory of Touser Dolobeiia lies on the western coast of northern Sargaas against the Chaanzhar Ocean from the Ocbe Channel southward to just south of the mouth of the Awerac River.
Geography
The Northern Breadbasket
In the north of Dolobeiia, the cities of Cipin and Uvudbe sit along the Craters of the Dragonfell. The Coastal Way connects these cities with Coubdivum, Deweda, and Ticca to the south for those who do not wish to risk an ocean voyage.
Between Cipin and Coubdivum, east of the Coastal Way, a series of large craters break the grassy plain. They are called the Craters of the Dragonfall, and legend says that one of the Ethereal Dragons fell into Kornax during the Fall of Dragons, and these craters are where is body impacted. The truth of that is unverified.
At the eastern extent of Dolobeiia, where the Cimib River passes out of the Touser, The city of Deweda is the entrance to the Touser for many travelling from the east, and Deweda marks the farthest navigable point of the Cimib River.
The entire region north of the Cimib River is agricultural and pastoral in character. Most of the population is settled within the first fifty to sixty miles inland, where natural springs and other water sources are plentiful.
Dolobeiian Heartland
The region between the Cimib and Ocumus Rivers is called the Dolobeiian Heartland.
The Western Uplift
About seventy five miles south of the Cimib, in the western heartland, the hills that form the transition to the Inland Plains rise in what is called the Western Uplift. This geographical feature runs southward, through and beyond the heatlands into the southlands and beyond. The most notable feature of this transitionary region is Stonetooth canyon this wide canyon along the Rumda River cuts into the bedrock of the uplift forming a deep canyon. Eroision has been uneven within the canyon, and it is filled with needle-like karsts. The canyon is a badland, filled with bandits and fell beasts.
The Coastal Heartland
From the foot of the Western Uplift to the Chanzhaar Ocean, the coastal plain is mixed grasslands and woods. The overwhelming majority of the Dolobei live in this region along the Cimib and Rumda Rivers. The region is well watered, and there are many farming and herding villages in the region, as well as fishing villages along the coast. This Coastal Heartland extends south to the Ocumus River.
Where the Cimib opens into the Ticcan Bay, the city of Ticci sits in a protected cove. It is the northernmost city in the heartland, and is a minor port of call for supplies and agricultural goods moving via the sealanes to and from Camvam. Land routes stretch southward from Ticci to Camvam on the coast and Gol upstream. Rogbul and Itovum provide pearls, mussels, clams, and other ocean products to the markets in Camvam. Itteccul serves as a tradepost for goods moving north or south along the road between Gol and Ercol, as well as goods moving up and down the Ocumus.
The Southlands
South of the Ocumus, the sparsely inhabited Southlands would be a footnote, if not for the cities of Sumigtin and Ercol. The latter lies on the Awerac River where it is intersected by the Biatian Way, and it serves as a supply and trade depot. Sumigtin is a supply port for goods flowing between Camvam and Apcotun. It is bolsterd by the relative proximity of Ercol, about a day up river.
