Legio V Fortis
Legio V Fortis serves as a versatile, general-purpose force within the Atreshian Empire. Versed in a variety of military tasks, this legion is particularly adept at both defensive and offensive operations.
Commanded by Legate Alma Labeo, Legio V Fortis is in a phase of transition, focusing on rebuilding its ranks and strengthening its combat capabilities after suffering considerable losses during the demonic invasion of 1373 in the Second Age.
Situated in Lower Atra, this strategically central location enables the legion to quickly respond to conflicts across various fronts, playing a crucial role in the Empire's military readiness.
The legion's rebuilding efforts are expedited by the leadership of experienced officers—many of whom are veterans from the invasion. Their battlefield experience serves as an invaluable resource, influencing both strategic decisions and the training of new recruits. After the legion finishes its rebuilding efforts it shall remain stationed in Lower Atra and await orders.
With a composition of 5,000 legionaries, 300 officers, 120 cavalrymen, 1,500 servants and non-combatants, and 2,000 pack animals, Legio V Fortis is a formidable force. Though diverse in its racial makeup, the core of the legion relies heavily on its veteran officers, whose teachings and strategies are incorporated into the overall functioning of the unit.
As Legio V Fortis continues its efforts to regroup and rebuild, it aspires to become a symbol of the Empire's resilience. Though still reestablishing itself, the legion's ability to adapt and learn from past experiences instills a sense of promise and potential within its ranks.
The legion's vexillum proudly displays a white wall against a purple backdrop. Above the wall, the designation "Leg. V" is displayed, while the word "Fortis" is inscribed below. This emblem serves as a constant reminder of the legion's commitment to stand steadfast in defense of the Empire.
