Legio VIII Fortuna
Legio VIII Fortuna is a beacon of military prowess in the Atreshian Empire. Commanded by Zander the Seer, a luminary in the Cabal and a master of divination, the legion ranks as the Empire's most decorated unit and is second only to Legio III Draconis in terms of experience.
For decades, Zander has used his unmatched foresight to guide the legion through countless victories, establishing a gold standard that other legions strive to meet.
Zander's longstanding leadership has molded Legio VIII Fortuna into an extraordinarily versatile force, able to adapt and meet challenges that would confound lesser legions.
The legion is currently tasked with managing the defense against elemental incursions from the Scorched Fields and is headquartered in the city of Cupidinia colaborating with Legio VI Cervus to keep the eastern borders secure.
With a force comprising 5,000 legionaries, 300 officers, 120 cavalrymen, and 1,500 servants and non-combatants, the legion also fields a unique detachment of 50 mages. These magical practitioners bring an additional layer of adaptability and skill, augmenting the legion's already formidable capabilities.
