Legio XI Augusta
Legio XI Augusta is a standard-sized, general-purpose legion consisting exclusively of human soldiers. Under the leadership of Fordola Lupis, who is also the lover of the current emperor, the unit enjoys a subtle level of favoritism and influence. However, Lupis herself prefers not to have the legion receive undue preferential treatment, maintaining a focus on merit and ability.
The legion has a long and decorated history, having participated in the initial unification wars that gave rise to the Atreshian Empire. More recently, it played a prominent role in the invasion of the Grand Duchy of Eralenor in 1344 of the Second Age, alongside Legio III Draconis and Legio VIII Fortuna. It also was a key participant in the demon invasion of 1373.
Nowadays, the legion is stationed in the southern regions of the empire, where it guards the mountainous borders with the Falcon Empire and the West Sorewenian Kingdom.
The legion comprises 5,000 legionaries, 300 officers, 120 cavalrymen, 1,500 servants and non-combatants, and 2,000 pack animals. The all-human makeup serves to foster a level of unity and cohesion within the unit.
The vexillum of Legio XI Augusta prominently features a white crown set against a purple backdrop. Above this image, the designation "Leg. XI" is displayed, while the word "Augusta" is inscribed below. This emblem serves as a symbol of the legion's imperial favor and esteemed history.
