Legio VI Cervus
Legio VI Cervus serves as a versatile force within the Atreshian Empire, though it is most often employed in defensive roles. Commanded by Legate Valens Varro, the legion specializes in safeguarding the western borders of the Empire from elemental incursions emanating from the Scorched Fields.
Stationed at a field camp on the western frontier, the legion plays a vital role in protecting the Empire from the elemental threats that roam the Scorched Fields—a volatile terrain formed by a wildfire explosion in the year 1373 of the Second Age. Due to the nature of these elemental threats, the legion benefits from the support of around 30 mages from the Cabal.
Legio VI Cervus comprises 5,000 legionaries, 300 officers, 120 cavalrymen, 1,500 servants and non-combatants, and 2,000 pack animals. It is further strengthened by auxiliary unit of 800 volunteer Elven archers from the Grand Duchy of Eralenor. These auxiliaries bring a diverse range of tactical options to the legion's operations.
The vexillum of Legio VI Cervus features a white stag head with antlers against a purple backdrop. The designation "Leg. VI" appears prominently above this icon, while the name "Cervus" is inscribed below. The standard serves both as an inspiration to the troops and a warning to enemies contemplating an invasion of Atreshian lands.
