The Darian Isles
The Darian Islands were five islands in the south eastern part of the world that were to the north of The Yem Alliance, south of the three nations of The Aiden League, and east of Ral and Xararten. The five islands were Slilaria, Promeria, Therem, Taria, and Verkan and each was home to an individual alliance of tribes and villages that banded together and formed one identity on the respective island.
The five Darian independent islands were mostly ignored when it came to foreign politics, and they were simply viewed as small and unimportant islands in the middle of a vast sea. The people of the islands didn't like this attitude that others had towards them, so they began discussing merging into one nation that would facilitate them as a more influential and bigger power. The five islands were always close and practically operated as one nation already due to their common interests and peoples, this made merging much easier. On the 142nd of 1773, they formed together into the nation of the Darian Isles, with one elder from each island representing them in a council. It took three years for the nation to be fully formed, but finally they did it and made the capital Therem, where the government would be spread out across the important cities of the island.
In the area that the islands occupied, lots of trade and transport occurred between the surrounding nations. The isles decided a very profitable way to capitalize on the surrounding trade would be to tax goods going through their waters and have docks and markets where they could resupply. They would also start a business practice where they would get paid to trade and transport things for other people. Over time, after capitalizing on the trade for so long, the nation would become very rich, and the government would heavily tax the individual companies in their nation making the money.
All of this led to pirates being in the water around the five islands, which led to many raids on them. During the 1900s, this gradually became a problem more and more, and the local militia and navy had to deal with The Pirates and criminals more. The islands got weaker and weaker, while The Pirates got stronger and took over more land. Eventually, this official period of Darian Terrorism ended in The Takeover Of Therem, where the island of Therem was attacked by a small detachment of pirates. The government fell, and the isles were officially owned and occupied by The Darian Pirates after they installed their own organized government and control.
After this came an era where Darians suffered under the pirates and had to be associated with The Ral War and help The Tar Faction and Salican Dynasty financially. Many rebel cells formed, and The Aiden League helped the rebels by giving them a limited amount of supplies. This marked the start of the next period, known as Darian Rebellion. When The Ral War had ended, The Pirates knew that they couldn't last against the rebels and The Aiden League, which they feared would join the fight. They surrendered themselves, and their leaders were imprisoned while the rest of The Pirates disbanded across Lasarian.
After this, the council was reinstated, and the isles continued their governance within their islands and began rebuilding.
Territories
The five islands of The Darian Isles.
Military
The Darian isles had a strong military that consisted of a navy and many local militias on the various islands that were tasked with defending against pirates and staying true to the people.
Trade & Transport
The Darian isles got rich because so much trade went through their waters and they produced many ships to transport goods.
The reason so much trade went through
The Darian Isles was because of its location as well as the currents going through, which made ships move very fast. All of this, combined with the fact that the people and merchants of the islands sold the crews things when they docked, made The Darian Isles a place that many from all over Lasarian traveled through.
There were many currents in The Isles as well as the larger ocean around it that only those who lived there and were experienced knew how to navigate the best. Foreign traders would typically go through one of two, one going southeast and one going north. Some would pay native Darians to help them navigate lesser known currents and waters.

I like your content for the Darian Isles. There is some good information there! Suggestions for improvement? Well, two things. I’ll put these in their own comments…
First, pacing for the reader. Try breaking up the main section with a header. You should have access to BBCode so you would be able to put your own headers in like for example:
Then further down: What this does is give your reader “breathing room” while they read. Also helps carry them along in your article.Second? Suggestion on structure. Watch starting so many sentances in a row with the same word. In this case, ‘the’. For example, here is a small adjustment to your first paragraph and start of the second to break that up a bit (really just a suggestion):
This helps the reading flow. Everyone has their own style and method to handle that but what I do? I read it aloud to myself and type what I’m saying. Mostly the above is just practice. The only other feedback... well... expand the Trade section. Any guilds there? What trade goods? Where do they come from? Are any of the trade goods rare? Has this kicked off any guild rivalries?
And everything about is just suggestions! Just things to think about. Remember, you're writing this... so write it how you feel it should best be written! :D
Thanks, pacing is something I get a lot and I'll try to implement it. As for the part of guulds and trade I will expand on it later but not that in depth though seeing as I imagine it being a command economy that has some capitalism.
No problem! Like I said, all that I put is only suggestions. The important part is that you write true to your writing voice! :D And on trade... yep, I can see that with a command economy. I look forward to seeing what you add later.
