The Fellowship departs from Carrion Hill on the trail of the Dark Riders. They find themselves caught up in the effects of strange and dangerous magic as it affects the creatures of the forest and the very land. Cracks to other planes split reality and begin to seep out foul new horrors.
While staying briefly in the small town of Dunhob, the Fellowship confronts a haunt that only raises even more questions of the wild magic affecting the area.
Almost immediately upon entering the dwarven controlled of Hyannis, someone from Drago's past makes a fiery entrance, bringing with them new enemies and dangers. The Fellowship picks at tantalizing threads of mystery possibly tied to the Carrion Crown and finds they are true to their pursuit of the Dark Riders.
Just behind the Dark Riders, the Fellowship begins to feel the pressure as attacks against them are ramped up as they search for the man they sent ahead to Thrushmoor. All signs and research point to a major event beginning to unfold in Illmarsh, which could be a major factor in freeing the Whispering Tyrant.
The Fellowship wastes no time in journeying to a seat of the Old Cults during the Festival of Laterngeist in rumor-stepped Illmarsh where Count Lowls also makes his way on pilgrimage and where the true nature of the Watcher in the Bay is hoped to be finally realized.
