Grand Accord

The Grand Accord was a contract signed by a number of major deities after the wake of the War of the Nine Hells, including Asmodeus and his Archdevils, Pelor, and Erathis. The accord strictly forbids the direct intervention of its signatories in the affairs of Materia. However, it does not outlaw the use of minions or devotees, nor does it prevent power being granted to material subjects.
