Kunigawa

Kunigawa is a large northern city in Hokutani. It is currently ruled by Lord Marina Zinyra.

Location

Kunigawa guards the mouth of the Kunishoji river, making it a natural population center. The city has historically been the seat of decentralized Solite satellite states, despite the city's proximity to Shou lands. Western swamp terrain and large rural populations of Elves has served to limit Shou influence.

History

Kunigawa was originally settled by Ascan settlers, similar to those that settled Prijka. After the settling of Fuhai, more Shou settlers found their way to the city, eventually becoming a cultural majority among its human population. Simultaneously, the elven population of the city grew from those that did not wish to settle the Juvean Desert.
