Main Belt

The Main Belt (also called the Asteroid Belt) is the first of two asteroid belts in the Sol System, located in a wide orbit between Mars and Jupiter around Sol. The Main Belt, like other asteroid belts, contains well over a million large asteroids and planetoids, of which some are notable enough for inclusion on star charts. The Main Belt is a particular hub for mining in the Sol System, with hundreds of stations and four minor habitats of the Sol Habitat Complex.
