Shrine to Mendiz

Some of the inspiration and details are derived from Colombia Games and the Hârn Religion Team (HRT) Archive.

Worship of Goddess Larani is proscribed in the Golotha and worshipers, or even suspected worshipers, are subjected to brutal torture and execution at the hands of the cities ruling Heptarchial Council. Therefore this shrine to Larani, dedicated to her banner-bearer and most trusted servant Mendiz, the Winged Lion, is well hidden.

The shrine has been protected by the Osiris family of Physicians for over a hundred years. Kiron Osiris is a skilled healer and a lay preacher who as successfully avoided the attention of the evil churches which dominates the city.

Design

It is a grotto with its wall covered in holy pendants, some of them dating back to the Corani Empire. The centerpiece of the shrine is a superb painted statue of Mendiz, caved from a natural granite formation.

Special Properties

A Larani worshipper may hold a Vigil at this Shrine.

Vigil of the Hidden Banner
