Orator's Stage
The orator’s stage is an open-air auditorium located just south of Charlamaine Hill. It serves as a meeting place for residents to speak their minds in an attempt to influence others in the political process. The orator’s stage consists of a stage with an orator's stand. While it often has posted agendas anyone can speak during a time not otherwise consumed. There is no seating provided, but people can bring their own chairs, or sit on the ground. Most choose to elect to stand.
Agendas have historically been posted monthly, but nothing stops gatherings in the interim and they occur not infrequently. Guards and guard captains may discuss tactics and strategies to thwart goblins and other brigands, a vote could take place to determine someone’s admission to a guild, or anything else that could benefit from public discussion.
Attendees at the orator’s stage tend to consist largely of denizens from Charlamaine hill. This is a result of both its proximity to the stage and the working class often not having the free time to attend speeches or discussions. However, freedom of speech is essential to the orator’s stage; anyone in Mythrite can speak regardless of status or wealth.
