Its beginning marked by the imprisonment of the most powerful wizard to exist, this is period of rapid advance and change.

The Second Age

Elves rule the continent with no kind of structure. they are simply powerful enough that no one can stop them. They were still more fey like in this time and the sound of a troup's hoofbeats and merry music was a source of mingled fear and elation to the few races of the continent. And the sight of their silvered sails at the shore stirred strange fears in the hearts of humans, the elves were as liberal with their rewards as with their swords.

    For most of human existence up until this point, the species had been little more than hill tribes, akin to lizardfolk and simpler goblinoids. This is the period during which humans began to develop. Originally this started in the north and though no one really remembers, save a few elves, it is vampires that they owe their culture too. This original persists today in the idea that the northern isles created human civilisation but the south perfected it.

    The war between the mortal races and the Sidhe. The elves kill half of all "mortal races" Humans, halflings, Dwarves, Gnomes, Dragonborn, and vampires, Who are hit hardest due to their low number and concentrated power. The criteria for "mortal" was made based on who the elves thought were a threat.

Dark ages

Medieval era technology focusing on the rise of the allied races specifically human and draconian rapid advancement. Access to magic is limited and sorcerers are often demonised on an ad hoc basis according to the personal biases of the local lord. There are a few academies of enlightenment; an early form of The Exandrisian Thaumaturgical Institute and the elves have their own systems of education. Religion grows in importance at this time, as it is one of only a few power structures that can extend beyond and between cities. Prophets and clerics, paladins and crusader roam proselytizing as they "do good and justice". They wear many faces and guises and there may even be factions which fight against other worshipers of the same god, unknown. This is because the primarchs have learned, there is no perfect pasta sauce.

    Kingsport, a Vassal city-state of the vampires at this time, is overthrown and a patrician placed at the cities head. It is now an independent city-state.

    Discovery, Exploration

    One of the few remains floating islands from the dawn times has landed on the barren northern coast of Draconia. From the ruins of the city it once held, the Draconians recover the first formal arcane knowledge that has graced the continent for centuries.
    Draconia begins to build a new metropolis on the remains of the old city repurposing its ancient architecture and reclaiming their antediluvian heritage.

    The Eruption of Ashfall

    Ashfall Mountain acquires its name when the tremors from the Floating Island crashing to the ground set it on a slow eruption. An unending stream of thick black smoke pours fourth from the peak, casting darkness across the land. So thick is the smoke that the vampire lords may emerge from their lairs in the day to terrorise their citizens, and they do just that.
