March of the Nordmarians - Westfork
Military action
Hokan's army caused the Nordmarian orcs to seek refuge for their people further south. While most effects of this march were felt in the Nordic Kingdoms and the eastern lands of Asgarnia, Yarozek's warband pierced the Nordic invasions and was only stopped by a combined force of the The Night's Watch, Chantry of Fire and Inquisition.
Hokan's rise caused the proud Nordmarian orcs to group into five warbands, led by five warlords:
- Urshak, the bold commanded the Malacath worshipping orcs.
- Yarozek, the mighty shaman commanded the Beliar worshipping orcs.
- Azhidal, the wise enchanter commanded the band of Tulbuk
- Grimgor, the Ironhide commanded a large clan of warriors with an iron fist
- Molog, the vast stood his ground defending the Bulwark.
Urshak & Yarozek would seek to travel south through the dwarven fortress of Dernhelm. Yarozek would later betray Urshak to take possession of his forces, launching a massive attack on Helm's Deep. He successfully breached these parts and marched onward to Gorgorath. Yarozek's horde would take until 1418 to defeat by a
Night's Watch,
Chantry of Fire and
Inquisition alliance instilled by
Marcus Vardenfell.
Grimgor and Azhidal together successfully surpressed the
Kingdom of Orzammar, after which they split forces with Azhidal conquering
Geldrin,
Angmar and later even
Mournhold. Grimgor would penetrate the Asgarnian empire, providing a foothold for many generations of orcs.
