The Quagmire
On the outskirts of the Sheskin Swamp lies a treacherous region known as "The Quagmire". A harsh landscape of flat marshland, The Quagmire is home to many terrible monsters, cruel witches, and dangerous barbarians. Winding up in the Quagmire is considered a death sentence to many in Kildonagh and travelers try their best to avoid it.
Geography
Flat, marshy swampland. The Quagmire is dotted with dead trees and ruins from past civilizations.
Localized Phenomena
A strange fog has been said to appear in The Quagmire which is rumored to cause hallucinations to those caught within it. Other odd phenomena include blood rain, mud-spouts, and plant rot.
History
Apparently there was once a civilization that called The Quagmire its home. All that is left are ruins, slowly sinking into the muck.
