Hilston Residential District

The Residential District of Hilston is known as The Greenway.  This is where many of the well-off residents live that do not live in their shops or workshops.  Most shoptenders live in this region, as the council has laws about buildings that are classified as "businesses" and those that are classified as "homes" and that they should not mix in certain districts.  Unlike other towns, most shops that are in the Market District do not have living accommodations.
The districts streets are mostly grid like and are named for simple things, like Cherry Lane, and Apple street.  The main streets all have a row of small trees planted in the center creating two lane street.  Hence the district name of Greenway.  The neighborhood is rather quiet, devoid of inns and shops that would drive tourism here.  This region is strictly for residents, and usually the folks are very familiar with the people who should be roaming around the region.

Demographics

Most of the resident are upper lower class or lower upper class, hovering right around the class boarder.  The Main roads have the largest plots and are more expensive then the side roads and so even here there is some class segregation.  It's mostly humans that live in this area, thought you will find a small neighborhood dedicated to hallings.  In fact a whole small section of the neighborhood have halfling sized buildings ensuring humans do not move in.

Defences

The Guard Patrol this region regularly, and are very friendly with the residents.  So much that they are often invited inside or brought drinks, and food during their patrols.  They are also quick to listen to the complaints of a resident concerning anyone in the district who are not known to the residents and dealing with them harshly.

Tourism

The residents of greenway ensure there is nothing to see in their neighborhood as they do not want strangers around their homes.

Architecture

The homes here follow a certain "style" so as to fit in with the other homes around them.  Some streets have unique distinctions, and the people of the district are very mindful of the aesthetic of their street.  In fact there is a Guild of home owners that you must belong to in order to build or own a house here and they have strict rules on how the exterior of your home must look and be maintained.
