Cape Storm

Cape Storm is located on the southern side of the strait which joins the Inner Sea to the East with the Solaran Sea to the West. It is named for the near constant storm which has been raging over it since the The Shattering almost two thousand years ago. Dark storm clouds are always present over the cape. High winds and heavy seas make approach by ship too dangerous. Expeditions trying to explore the cape by land have been driven back by heavy rains and hail, as well as frequent lightning strikes.
There have been a few brief periods of relative calm over Cape Storm in the two millennia since The Shattering. A few expeditions appear to have actually reached the storm-battered section of the cape before the weather closed back in, but no one is known to have returned from any of those expeditions.
