Feathers

An army as large as the Army of Ikan requires an enormous organizational apparatus to support it. This is the task of the Feathers as the bureaucratic backbone of the army. While most of the common soldiers look down upon the Feathers due to their lack of combat training, experienced officers know better than to disrespect the silent mover and maker of the army. In addition to their organisational work, feathers are often trained as combat medics and staff the sickbays. Due to their extensive medical knowledge they are also often consulted in private matters.   Feathers don't form combat units them self. Rather they are - as individuals or small groups - assigned to a unit or division of the other armies.
