Mutra Sibasi
(a.k.a. The Plate Merchant)
Mutra was born a slave into the service of the Birka Family of Gharlarad. A family of lower nobility with a glorious past long behind them. Owning alot - yet mostly worthless - land there main source of income were agricultural products. Mutra grew up to work for the family as manager and accountant, managing the ebb and flow of goods and money from the Birka estate.
The Birka Family got in an dispute with the Lafat Family over a plot of land. The Birka did not want to sell. The Lafat do not accept "No" for an answer. In a aggressive maneuver all the trading partner of the Birka stopped trading with them. Put into the corner the Birka had no other chance than to cave in and sell to the Lafat. Yet that that did not stop the stranglehold - as the Lafat did no intend to make an example to everyone that dares to defy their plans.
Mere two years later the dynasty of the Birka was at it's end. Without any money left, the assets got liquefied, the land sold of, the slaves were freed and the heirs of the family set of to Ikan to start a new life. Mutra stayed loyal to the Birka until the very end - and along with his freedom he also received a handsome amount of money to build himself a new life.
Using his aquired knowledge he build his own trading company from the ground up. Mutra was always a savvy and talented business man - and business was good. Until it wasn't. Suddenly partners pulled out of deals, promises got broken and contracts were not fulfilled. As fast as he rose above a life of slavery, as fast he appeard to be crashing down into a life of poverty. His wife left him along with his children to start a new life in Etrokien.
Years wen't by since he should find out the mastermind behind his downfall. By then he was living a life on the street - keeping himself afloat by selling salvaged used dishware on the lower market of the city. It was then when a young lord from the Lafat approached him. Bragging how he brought down his business to settle an imaginary old score with the Birka Family. In the end Mutra was but an pawn in a young mans schemes to prove himself to his father.
Yet is was here on the streets of Barad at the lowest point of his life, that he should meat the members of the 2nd Legion of the Bulls. His life should once again turn around drastically. This time - for the better.
