In the year of 9666 AC, a formidable threat emerged from Aedorica. A vast warhost of Aasimar descended upon The Empire of Man, landing in the fertile lands of Mindenland with the intent to carve out a new nation for themselves. Led by leaders with their names forgotton, these Celestial beings waged a relentless war upheaving the region in chaos.
At the time, the Empire was under the rule of Emperor Leopold IX, the newly elected emperor and untested Imperial Prince of Mindenland. In his eagerness to defend his homeland, Leopold hastily marshaled his forces to confront the encroaching Aasimar threat. However, his inexperience in the crucible of war proved to be the downfall of not only him but as well as his homeland. The clash between the imperial forces and the Aasimar warhost culminated in a decisive battle. Despite the valiant efforts of the imperial army, the Aasimar emerged victorious, their celestial prowess and divine blessings overwhelming the defenders and claiming the life of Emperor Leopold IX in the heat of the conflict.

They boldly proclaimed the birth of a new nation known as the Vale, a sanctuary where Aasimar could thrive free from the constraints of mortal rule. To fortify their newfound realm, the Aasimar erected a towering magical dome that enveloped the entire land, sealing it off from the outside world and warding against any attempts at intrusion or escape. Within the span of a mere year, the once-proud province of Mindenland had fallen to the Aasimar onslaught, its lands now transformed into the heartland of the burgeoning Vale.
