Leopold IX
Emperor Leopold IX reigned during the Aasimar Conquest in 9666 AC. A newly elected emperor and untested leader in warfare, Leopold was the Imperial Prince of Mindenland before becoming emperor. The Aasimar landed in his homeland and threatened it, Leopold's eagerness to defend his homeland led him headlong into battle against the Celestial invaders. Tragically, his forces were overwhelmed by the might and divine prowess of the Aasimar. In the decisive battle, Leopold IX lost his life, along with the legendary Runickfang, Stone-Cutter. This defeat marked the fall of the Imperial Province of Mindenland and the rise of the Vale in its place, leaving a lasting impact on the Empire of Man's history.
