Holstein's streets are a hive of activity, filled with merchants, craftsmen, and scholars going about their daily routines. The city's industry is the lifeblood of its economy, with towering factories and workshops producing everything from finely crafted weapons to cutting-edge technology.   The city's rich history is evident in its architecture and landmarks. Holstein has served as the seat of power for dozens of emperors throughout the empire's history, including three of the greatest: Emperor Klaus the Savior, Merovich the Great, and Hogan the Wise. Hogan, regarded as the second greatest emperor, Merovich as the third, and Klaus as the fourth (with Sieghardt- God Emperor being the greatest), each left an indelible mark on the city.   Holstein has also been the site of many legendary battles, the most famous being the grave of Waaagh! during the Great Waaagh!, where the fearsome Waaagh! met his end at the hands of Emperor Ragenardus III. This historic battle is commemorated in the city's central square, where a grand statue of Ragenardus III stands right where he slew Waaagh!, with Ghal Maraz in his hand raised in victory, overlooking the bustling marketplace.

Holstein is home to some of the brightest minds in the empire, who work tirelessly to push the boundaries of science and technology. This culture of innovation is reflected in the city's architecture, with sleek modern buildings standing alongside historic landmarks, creating a dynamic and ever-evolving skyline.

Holstein's might is evident not only in its industrial prowess but also in its robust defenses. The city's formidable walls and watchtowers stand as a testament to its strategic importance and resilience. Throughout its history, Holstein has withstood numerous sieges and invasions, emerging stronger and more unified each time. The city's military academies and training grounds produce some of the finest soldiers in the empire, ensuring that Holstein remains a bastion of strength and security.

History

During the Great Waaagh!, this city would be where the deciding battle would happen. The defenders led by Emperor Ragenardus III defended the city fiercely. The Orcs digged underneath the city to emerge in the center of it by surprise, imperial scouts discovered this ploy and Ragenardus prepared for them. As soon as they emerged from the hole, Ragenardus crushed the skull the first orc that came through, and to the surprise of all, it was Waaagh! himself. With their leader dead, the orcs fled and the city and the empire was saved.
