Les Gardes-du-Corps

Les Gardes-du-Corps (Gothique: Bodyguards (lit. Guards of the Body)) are the dedicated bodyguards of La Reine Melisende of Outremer. A specially-selected formation of Les Chevaliers d'Outremer, they guard the royal palace in Montréal and protect their Queen on the battlefield when she fights from La Couronne. Intimate protection is provided by an elite detachment of Les Gardes-du-Corps known as Les Gardes de la Manche.
