OttD Session 35: The Game of Orbs, Part 2

General Summary

Vun Roade remembers arriving in an area of Vigrid that looked much like The Beastlands. He was attacked by some sort of invisible creature, and then awoke in a familiar shack, where he met Nihilo, a tabaxi fellow who was poking through his belongings. He admits he was tempted to steal the glass vial that was given to Zerrof by Penguin, but he decided it would not be useful to him.
Nihilo introduces himself and gives Zerrof a rundown of how the Training Games work. This description is remarkably similar to the one Aria gave the rest of the party in Session 34: The Game of Orbs, Part 1.
After this, Nihilo agrees to take Vun Roade back to his party. He sends a sending to Tornac, who at first does not care to recover Vun Roade but eventually goes along with the rest of the party to rescue him. Along the way there, Vun Roade witnesses Nihilo murdering a wererat.  He is not certain, but thinks her name was Little Sparkle.
There is a brief reunion, wherein Nihilo reveals he used to date Aria and various plot things from previous sessions are recapped. Eventually Pestle decides to pick a fight, and the party battles Nihilo.
Nihilo himself is very powerful, but he is also greatly outnumbered. He is on the ropes, but eventually reveals that his tail is also a monster, called Aliquid, which chomps down on Adoven Verdonnet and, by use of legendary actions, devours his brain.
At this point, Nihilo has accrued enough wins to win the game, and everyone is teleported out. Adoven Verdonnet has a secret side-call with the DM, but does return alongside the rest of the party, in perfect condition, to The Town.
The Town is bustling with excitement, as Sconce is hosting one of his Death Day Parties.  The group marvels at this for some time, and then goes to The Tavern to see Sconce.  They make small talk with him for some time, and also meet his wife Madani.  They also have a brief reunion with Mama Bear, after Zerrof casts sending to tell her they have come.
During conversation, Zerrof asks if there is a way to leave.  Sconce says there is, but not all of them "qualify" to use it, and Sconce cannot say what it is.  Pestle attempts to ask Dave how to escape, but fails his save and gains a long term madness in the form of an OCD-style obsession with Dave.  The session ends there.
