Weresoc

Weresoc is the tenth region of the Eleazarian Empire. It is bordered by Cora Tellus in the west, Dhussin and Dragons Cradle in the north, Gillaea in the west and Philleas in the south.
Weresoc was founded in 724 AKC as a result of the peace treaty between Dhussin and the Empire. It marked the end of the The Eleven Year War. The formerly little known military leader Flün Hilltopple was chosen by the Senate as Lord Regent of the new region.
The province is still in the process of constituting itself. Diplomatic relations with the other nine regions have started, and ten senators have been sent to Kadmiran.
In 725 AKC a rebel movement formed in Weresoc, consisting mainly of halflings and dwarves. During an unsuccessful murder atempt on the Lord Regents life the main figures of the movement have been captured. They have been trialed in late 725 AKC and were sentenced to a decade of forced labour in the Gloom.
Weresocs territory is small compared to the other nine regions, but is situated at important trade routes between its five neighbors. Weresoc itself is separated by a mountain range into Western Weresoc and Eastern Weresoc. The latter was completely destroyed during The Eleven Year War. Western Weresoc inhabits at the moment the vast majority of the regions population, most of them living in one of the three cities Farángi, Géfyra and Gipédon. Most rural areas are still spersely populated, as most of the civilians fled or went into exile during The Eleven Year War. Géfyra, an old monastery, deserted during the war, was repurposed into the Lord Regents interim seat of power. 725 AKC ruins of Progefyroma, an old dwarven metropole has been liberated of superantural forces and is in the process of redevelopment. Properties and housing is currently gifted by the Lord Regent to willing and capable settlers in the hope to rebuild the old metropole into the new capital of Weresoc.
726 AKC a small Kobold invasion troubled the Eastern outposts of Weresoc. The invasion has been repeled.
