King/Queen of Bartol

The King (or in a few cases, Queen) of Bartol is the hereditary ruler of the Kingdom of Bartol, the largest and most important human realm in Zantor, on the eastern end of the Great Continent. In many cases the power of the ruler is described as resting in the Golden Throne of Bartol, but it is the King or Queen in whom the power of the throne is vested.  If married, the spouse of the King/Queen is also called Queen/King (respectively), but their format title is Queen/King Consort.
The current King is Tybalt Arenthal, who was crowned in AF 398 as part of the Great Compromise. His Queen Consort is Alaysreh Ralto Arenthal, the only child of Radek Ralto, the previous holder of the crown.
The King rules over the regions of Bartolis , the East March, Bayern and the Southern Duchies, with vassals in each region. The feudal territories controlling those areas are the Duchy of Errestan, the Principality of Valdmar, and the (much) smaller Duchies of Ansleah, Marne, Rugcastle, Burtonel, Shaunach and Englen.
In principle the King also rules over parts of Galea through vassals in Southland and The Villa and other areas in northern Galea, but in practice those areas are self-governing.
