Thalas (THAH-lahss)

Thalas is one of the outposts on The Line, a series of forts created by the Kingdom of Eridane in the Western Lands.
Thalas is the northernmost fort on The Line, located 75 miles north-northwest of Themar and 350 miles north of Entheas, the central fort and logistical hub of The Line.
The forts of The Line are named after heroes of the Army of Eridane. Thalas is named after Thalas Seltaren, a cook supporting the Elvish forces fighting in the Battle of Schmagenrog.  Saltaren volunteered to sneak into the orcish camp and taint their food supplies so that the orcish forces were sickened and easily defeated.
