Yasuki Kaoru
Kaoru took in the footsteps of her Aunt Nagisa, pursuing the merchant trade with enthusiasm and aplomb. It was easy to tell early into her development that she would be chosen to be the next Yasuki family daimyo. Kasuga Basho groomed her for the role and prepared her, having her come to the estate each summer to practice in preparation to take over for him and Reisuka when they retired.
Kaoru hadn't had any intentions of surrogating for her brother, but when Chiare came home spouting about a broken heart and how he needed her help, she indulged him--after making him beg. She had 3 children of her own with a politically arranged husband, and gave Daichi and Chiare 4, the youngest 2 being twins.
