Luis de Mendoza
First encountered in the Bar Cordano when meeting Augustus Larkin. Not introduced with any specifics, he appears to be Larkin's factotum. Despite being dressed as a local in somewhat threadbare and worn clothing, his appearance is European. His dark hair is quite long and poorly kept. He does not speak much, the social context of the meeting indicates he may not be fluent in English. Most of his communication is done through intensely hostile glares.

Personal history
After the initial meeting at the Bar Cordano, de Mendoza showed up again outside Museo de Arqueolgía y Antropología right after the incident with the Peruvian Larvae. He was spotted through an office window and Boris Mitkov immediately gave chase, with Reinhardt Fury trying to keep up. Mendoza was unable to evade Boris and the language barrier led to a sword duel on the campus of the nearby university. Boris narrowly avoided a fatal rapier thrust and then drove his own sword into de Mendoza's chest.
An ambulance, summoned for Nemesio Sánchez incorrectly assumed they were needed for the injuries at the duel and swept de Mendoza off to the hospital. Floyd Musgrove and Nigel Hudson Wallace Farnsworthy IV followed the ambulance with their own patient, only to see the vehicle stop prematurely. Mendoza exited the back of the vehicle and ran off at full speed. It was after his departure that Dr. Musgrove found the Strange Face.
Mendoza disappeared after this, until the investigators reached the Peruvian Pyramid ruins. At their lowest point he returned. He appeared in the light of day to transform into a hideous monster before collapsing into dust.
The strong, silent type.
