King Orlet IV (OR LEY PELL EN NAST)
King Danyll Pleennast
The reign of King Orlet Pleennast IV, was largely unexceptional. His entry in history will no doubt be dominated by his death leading towards the Elow/Timer Civil War. Prior to that, the only note worthy events focus on the King's multiple marriages and his attempts to produce a male heir to the Elowean throne.
Social
Reign
King Orlet IV ruled from 1460 - 1483.
Born in 1435, Danyll Pleenast, was set to become the king of Elow. In 1448 he was betrothed to Jannet Carmond of Oakecross, but the marriage would be delayed until 1459, when King Orlet III's failing health prompted it. Danyll was crowned Orlet IV in 1460. He produced three female children, but no heirs. The after his wife's death in childbirth in 1465, the King quickly married Melen of Roremonsi, who gave birth to the royal heir, Prince Furen in 1468. The queen passed in 1471 of a wasting illness. The prince would die 5 years later at the age of 8 of a similar disease. The King entered into a deep depression, and it was only at the urging of his court that he again remarried Keyva Dresteli of Graymonge. The union failed to produce an heir. Orlet IV died of a sudden sickness in 1483, and his young wife's refusal to ceed the throne to his brother, Prince Jurent would prompt civil war.
